As a result of a pension reform, the retirement age is expected to increase in Russia. Now, the standard retirement age in Russia is 55 for women and 60 for men. Starting from 2019, the retirement age will be 60 for women and 65 for men.
In order to protest against the reform, locals installed the gallows in the city center of Perm. Apparently, the pole was there long before, just a rope was added to it.
For some, it may look like an art installation, but for hard working Russians, who by the way are not expected to live till the retirement, it may have a literal meaning.
